Silvestre Visual Solutions (SVS) actually started all the way back when Silvestre was a precarious five year old whose closest friend was a box of colored pencils and a stack of used bond papers handed by his Aunt. His love of art and illustration from that formative tender age blossomed into a passion that becomes the culmination of SVS.SVS became a reality for Silvestre when he formally started the business in the winter of 2005 in the city of Yokohama, Japan. In 2009 SVS moved to the State of Virginia. Silvestre Visual Solutions would then be separated from and become the Design and Illustration division of Venutec Corporation, with Venutec solely intended for the Printing and Information Technology platform.Today, Silvestre Visual Solutions serves clients from all walks of life. What would you do if you could do it over again?That was the question Silvestre contemplated when faced with the realization that the world is probably on a one-way trip to killing all of its natural resources at the rate we are now. In real life it is seldom you get a chance to do it all over again.Take for example, PRINTING. We take for granted how many millions of trees and plants we kill each time that printer churns out a piece of paper. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency and the Purdue Research Foundation, over 2 billion books, 359 million magazines, and 24 billion newspapers are published every year in the United States.That means YOU will use an average of 748 pounds of paper per year (source: American Forest and Paper Association).At this rate, it is only a matter of time before EARTH goes down. That is finite.One of the main reasons I got into this business is to be able to exert some form of control over how this issue is dealt. I figured that if my business can become important and famous enough, many customers would have business with me. That would allow me to control how they are printing, where they would print, and WHAT KIND AND WHAT TYPE OF PAPER PRODUCTS THEY WOULD USE WHEN THEY DO HAVE TO PRINT.That is a daunting task, I realize that, but there is no other recourse. I want to give my future children's children the chance to see life as it is meant to be: the capability of the human race to advance and prosper in the future without having to live in sterile environments because the outside would kill them.The words "RE-CYCLED PAPER PRODUTCS" probably ranks among the likes of cigarettes and alcohol warnings, or the crazy "ORGANIC" labeling in many products in a given aisle in a grocery store. IT DOES NOT MEAN SHIT!As a matter of fact, only about 13% of so-called 100% recycled papers are actually 100% recycled. Meaning, most of that piece of paper you are holding has more than enough original tree killed somewhere. Now, why is that? Just like the infamous tobacco and cigarette debacle, the people that are in on it, does not want to ever use any money in building these re-cycling plants. Can you tell me how many paper recycling plants there are in the US? ....To be continued....
